I met up with Jenny over the weekend. After freeing up time from both of our schedules, we were finally able to set something up. The cool thing is that she’s from the area! We met up over at the San Gabriel Playhouse since I didn’t have a place in mind After getting to know each other for a little bit, we discussed outfits and got to shooting.Can’t wait to work with Jenny again! Here’s a couple from the shoot:

After working out at the gym, I was ready to go home and relax to work on homework. I saw James cleaning his car, so I asked him if he was going to TORC? It turns out that he was and asked if I wanted to come along, and since I was about 80% done with my assignments, I thought I’d go to do a little bit of shooting.

Once we got there, the turn out looked really good. I’ve only attended once, and I really enjoyed. After walking around and looking at cars, it made me realize how much I really wanted to own a Toyota/Lexus, especially the old school ones! Who knows, maybe I’ll end up with a Lexus or Toyota for my next car. After shooting, we ended up going back to the area to check out iKicks so James could pick up some shoes. I was tempted to buy some again, but I couldn’t let impulse buying get the best of me. We headed home after when I knocked out for a good couple of hours before I headed over to Michael’s for the night.

I haven’t been shooting much lately because I haven’t been marketing and advertising at much. I know I need more practice and more experience, so it’s about that time I start going out and marketing to improve my skills. Julie came over to my house over the weekend to get in a couple of shots. She wants to get more serious about photography, and I needed more practice, so it was a win-win situation for the both of us. Here’s a couple from our session:

When debating which portrait lens to get for my camera, I was debating between a zoom or prime. Starting off my photography, I started off my prime, no zooms at all. I’ve grown accustomed to using primes which led me to get this lens for a portrait lens. Midrange telephoto lens for tighter portraits. I was going to go with the 85F1.8G, but I couldn’t pass up the offer for this lens. It was in pretty mint condition! Can’t wait to get back into portrait photography.
